Proterra comes from two root words: “pro” and “terra”:
Pro :
An abbreviation for the word “professional”.
A “proponent” of a proposal or project.
Terra :
Earth; land.
Combining “pro” and “terra” has significant meaning.

Kelly Stearns, Principal, Manager
With over 35 years of experience, Kelly’s involvement as a land professional for numerous oil and gas, midstream, and land companies assures that corporate goals are met and Proterra customers are satisfied. Holding a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a concentration in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Calgary, throughout his career Kelly has developed a well-rounded skill set from working various roles in the field, in auditing, in coordinating and management leads.
